Jails and Bricks

I cannot help but smile and giggle a little at this, only because of my first comic, Dear Carniwhore (which, I'll remind you, was inspired by the FMP song of the same title). Hopefully this also means the project is not dead, and there could be a follow up.... =D


On another note, the other day I was thinking about random stuff and I came up with an interesting definition.

To brick someone: verb. To radically express your disagreement in a "constructive" way.

I think I'll try to think of more definitions like that XD

New Old Comics!

Confusing title...Well, it's quite simple. I mentionned that I'd be redrawing some of the old comics I published, well, I actually more like "rearranged" them. Rescanned them, cleaned them and colored them with photoshop - Gods and Godesses bless photoshop. So here are the first 3 I did - in 2 days.

"Lash me with your whip..."

This one was inspired by the For My Pain... song "Dear Carniwhore", sang by Juha Kylmänen (who is also singer for Reflexion). In said song, the chorus is as follows:
"Licking your bloody lipsSmiling and sucking your fingertipsLash me with your whipI'm your slaveMy dear Carniwhore"
So yeah. I took it litteraly. Singers, be aware of what you're singing. Lol.

...lerppu?

Ok, I may be shooting my own foot by displaying this one here. Featuring: Teemu Rajamäki, bassist for Uniklubi. The joke: in French (my first language), the pronounciation of his name is exactly like "T'es mou", contracted form of "Tu es mou", which means "You are soft", more in a "You are not hard" way. Finns will have understood the joke at this point, I think. "Lerppu" is in Finnish, and it's how we planned to explain it to Teemu. I just pictured his reaction to it, and drew it there. *chuckles* We wanted to tell him ourselves, but my comics are getting broadcasted out of my control, so I guess we can forget about that.

Selocest

Again, featuring members from Uniklubi, Jussi and Janne Selo, respectively singer and guitarist/back vocalist. In their first video, Rakkauta Ja Piikkilankaa, Janne has his head against Jussi's shoulder and chest, and apparently has his mouth opened (see it at 3:55 in the video, but it's quick, so keep a sharp eye). So we joked around that, also considering that we got a picture of them kissing. The important fact in all of this: they are brothers. (Janne is the older one)
So it's ~incest~, but it's the Selo brothers, so it's Selocest.

(You think that this idea is sick? You should read a couple of the many fanfictions that take it much further than that... lol)

So yeah, that's it. More to come. I'm not gonna arrange them all, cause some of them are just doodle, not proper to be redrawn or not worth the time. If you got a request, send me a message specifying which comic you'd like to be redrawn. Until then...

Jail

Teemu: Haluin vain että vakea nähvät minun... (I only wished that people see me...)
On dress: CUNT
Juha: Miksi olet tässä? (Why are you here?)
Jussi: Partaa. Sinä? (Beard. You?)
Juha: Huono sanat valinta. Ja hän? (Bad choice of lyrics. And him?)
Jussi: Tukka ja puku. (Hair and dress.)

Situation: Inspired randomly. I was looking back at my first drawings, and the jail onw with Juha was fun, so I decided to make another one. Pinkass, this is for you!I wanted to add more characters, so I thought that Jussi's beard was a bad enough sin for him to spend some time in the League's jail, and Teemu, well, his dress.... hahaha.By the way, the "CUNT" written on it was *really* written on it.

Situation: the League was founded on the reaction to 3 disasters, but we shall not forget to do prevention too! Here, Pinkass and I are watching closely Juha (Pinkass more closely than I, if you'll look well) in case anyone tries to come around and cut his fucking beautiful hair. Don't we look cool? ^_^ But beware! We got razors!

JU-HA!!!

Situation: Reflexion and For My Pain's singer, Juha Kylmänen, pronounces his name in a way that it would sound a bit like a cow-boy screaming "Yeee-Ha!". A cow-boy rides his horse, a Pinkass rides... I'll let the end of the sentence to your discretion ^^

No refies needed anymore, huh? Juha's a regular ;-)

Do Juha - WHAT?

("In which position should I do Juha?"
"Öh -"
"(very coldly) "Huh."
"I mean, draw him.")

Situation: fruits of my lastest sleepover at Pastlink's. I was wondering how I would draw Christus so his undies would be visible (since it was the point of the strip) and I said, "Dans quelle position est-ce que je le mets?", which can be translated, from Quebec's figures of speech, by, "In which position do I f*ck him?" XD
Then we burst out laughing, and we decided to make it into a comic, slightly changed and adapted to our English-speaking viewers. So the "In which position do I do him?" is still a fairly good translation and shows well the spirit of our twisted minds. Note 2 things: Pastlink's kinda possessive about Juha ^^' - and I identified the color of her shirt ^^ /random.

Juha the Toy Boy

("I wanna be a TOYBOY"
"Juha, it's not your song!"
"Shut up you!!! *drools*")

Situation: Pastlink suggested that I draw Juha (Reflexion, For My Pain...) as a sexy Finn waiting on a bed (for her, most probably). Then she mentionned "toyboy", which word has been brought to our vocabulary by the band Megaphone (one of Apocalyptica's drummer Mikko Sirén's other bands) in the song of the same name (ToyBoy). Hence the joke, that it is not Juha's song, but you know, Pastlink doesn't really care. Juha's in HER closet anyway.

Situation: Juha Kylmänen [Yu-ha kuhl-ma-nen], frontman of Reflexion and For My Pain..., sings in on of the last band's song (Dear Carniwhore):
"Lash me with your whip, I'm your slaaave... My Dear Carniwhore!"
Which is, obviously, a play on the words "carnivore" and "whore".
...
Point is!
We found it quite funny and interesting to put in practice, so that's what it gave. ^_^
