OHMYGOD I GOT 4!!! O_O

Well, hello to you all then.

First, a bit of news from me.

I completed today the folder for my residence permit application, and visited the consulate in Montreal to get it stamped and whatnot. All went well. Of course. I knew what to expect. We're on Saturday now so since postal services are not running on weekends - so aren't public services like embassies, either - my stuff should reach Ottawa on Tuesday, then be shipped to Finland. Then, I wait 4 to 6 months. Meh.

Still, it's progressing. Me happy.

Then, I might have found a job, which is awesome. Money + stuff to do = <3

Now. Closet related: I will (really, this time) order a new batch/edition of Closet button badges, and since they will mostly be shipped to you (the 4 people reading this 8D) I need your opinion on what they should display. There will most likely be 15 different designs, plus the banner-bearing one.

I will be attending the 69 Eyes' show in Montreal on November 4th. Don't know yet if I'll bother with a new series of promo drawings to get signed, since I already have a set. Though I still miss Archzie.... we'll see.

Ugh, my neck hurts.

But hey, I'm back :D

My tour of Europe (short and not the whole thing) was quite fun but tiring. I'm now back in Quebec, with no job, still with my parents (-__-) BUT holding a contract that should allow me to go back to Finland as an au pair. Finally.

Celebrated (not really) my 24th birthday on Friday (yayNOT) by not doing anything. It's kinda awful to see high school friends have babies when I don't even know on which continent I'll be living next year.

But well, it is the life I chose, and I have no little regrets.

I'll take this line to remind you that if you have Failbook, I post random stuff there (rarely drawings, but it happens) and you can watch it HERE.

I have drawn a few comics on my travels, but some will probably not be published. The reason? The joke is WAY to much of an insider. It would take AGES (no, really, 3 whole days) to explain it, and yet since (most of) you weren't there, it wouldn't be as funny.

Also, I am reminding myself that now that everyone pimped my drawings out to the Finns I draw, I have to watch what I publish :) I still have at least 2 comics, beside The Table, that I will definitely put up, possibly 3. And I have other ideas.

But! I also have to find a job, and have a job, and earn money, and do something with my person. *pulls Waury in the picture - that is my person 8D*

So it might take time. I'm actually amazed that The Table was redrawn and arranged all on the same day. But it's good.

The 69 Eyes's new album and North American tour. I was quite surprised with the sound of Back In Blood, the x'th Eyes' album. It's a it of a change in my opinion, but I liked it :) They are starting their North American tour tomorrow (October 5th) in San Francisco, with The Becoming and Dommin. I do believe they're headlining this time, but I've had trouble finding definite info. But! Check their tour dates for the ones nearest you ;)

Sketch I did back in 2006 for Pinkass's birthday. It looks like like I'm handing over Jussi69, just like that, but it was really just a loan for the day.

The idea of the bow was very simple: if he didn't like it, he could always take it off.

I used the same idea in a drawing for Jen, but this time with Tuomas =)

This one reminded me how much I loved to torture my characters. <3
We really, really wondered how Jussi's pants stayed on his hips. That's the answer we came up with. Not saying it's the real thing, but you know, it's always funnier in the closet anyway.

Situation: A little wordplay of a very tired Laury. I've heard (read) that Jussi69's last name is Vuori, which means "mountain". Aaah, you see it now, huh? Nightwish's Emppu got "Vuorinen" as a family name, so yeah.
Brokeback Vuorinen. Yeah, Jussi is kinda wondering "What the hell went through her f*cked up head" and he's too dressed. I know, I know.

Situation: after terrible horrors concerning caps - we'll spare you the details - we decided that prevention was best first started by education. So, we set up classes for our 3 Finns-at-risk, Janne Selo, Tuomas Holopainen and Jussi 69.
(note that Janne is shaved, to respect the League's rule, and that Tuomas is not, since his facial hair is still aethetic)
And you can take the "wear *absolutely* nothing" reference in any you're pleased to, but remember, he is in MY closet :P

Situation: it had been a while since the fishnet joke had been around, but Pastlink kindly reminded me of it. She got Perttu (youngish one, since he doesn't wear his fishnet anymore) for he is in her closet and I got Jussi 69 (who seems pretty much as happy as Perttu ^^') since he is in my closet. ^^

Situation: We now know where Pastlink's eyes are off to when she sees a Finn; this comic was her idea. Taken from "Devils" and Lost Boys" videos, Jyrki is having fun shaking his ass (let us not be afraid of words) for the camera (or the girls that watches him from there) and well, puts up a good show. I highly recommend it. This is his second appearance in the Closet, kind loan from Pastlink. So here's the ref, sadly not of his ass.

Situation: If you've heard of Ville Valo, singer of HIM, you MUST have heard of the Bamtard, Bam Margera. He's his groupie. He's stolen his heartagram. And now, he's stealing many Finnish bands so they'd go to the USA. Don't misunderstand me: having The 69 Eyes and Negative in North America isn't a bad thing in itself. But knowing they only go in the USA and that we can't go there, and that they're taking them away from Finland, make us........... URGH!!!
So yeah, our revenge ^_^

Situation: I've found myself deeply erm, moved by The 69 Eyes's drummer Jussi and his... interesting body. This is not a drawing at the peak of my talents nor does it show the true extent of the delicious vision he can give us, but I didn't have a picture to rely on, only souvenirs and a friend. Still, not so bad. ^_^
